A litigation practice built ontrial work.
My first five years at the bar were spent almost entirely in the trial courts — civil and criminal, Service Tribunal, Labour, Consumer and Banking Courts. That is still how I run a matter: prepared early, pleaded precisely, argued on the record.
Alongside it, Asif & Associates advises international and local businesses, institutions and private clients on the corporate and commercial work that keeps them out of court — drafting and vetting, legal opinions, due diligence, regulatory compliance and the role of company legal adviser.

Where the work sits.
Property and real estate is where I am most often instructed, and where the disputes tend to be hardest — title, partition, gift and inheritance, commercialisation and development-authority matters.

About
Nineteen yearsat the bar.
Called to the bar in 2007 after reading law at Quaid-e-Azam Law College, Lahore, I was enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court in 2010. The work since has run through four established chambers and my own — from sustained trial practice to corporate and commercial advisory for international and local businesses, institutions and government agencies.
What that history buys a client is judgment: which forum a matter belongs in, what a court will actually do with it, and when the better answer is a settlement, an arbitration — or no case at all.

The questions most first-time clients ask, answered plainly. Anything else belongs in the first consultation.
What should I bring to a first consultation?
Whatever exists on paper: title deeds, agreements, notices, court orders,
correspondence — even if incomplete. The first meeting is a reading of the file, and the more
of the file there is, the straighter the answer.
Do you handle advisory work, or only litigation?
Both. Alongside contentious matters I act as company legal adviser and handle
drafting and vetting of agreements, legal opinions, due diligence and regulatory compliance
for businesses and institutions.
Which courts and forums do you appear before?
The Lahore High Court, district and trial courts, Banking Courts, Labour
Courts, the Punjab Service Tribunal, Consumer Courts, rent tribunals, special courts, arbitral
tribunals and regulatory authorities.
Do you act for businesses as well as individuals?
Yes. International and local businesses, institutions and government agencies
on the corporate and regulatory side — and private clients in property, civil, criminal, rent
and family matters.
How are fees set?
At the outset, based on the nature of the matter, the forum and the work
involved — and discussed at the first consultation, before any engagement is made.
How quickly do you respond?
